Christine Fisher MD at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®: September 30, 2018

We are privileged to be a sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® in Austin, taking place Sunday, September 30. This year’s race will include almost 6,000 participants, from breast cancer survivors, thrivers and fighters to the loved ones and co-survivors of those who have been personally affected by breast cancer.

This is an event that the Christine Fisher MD team feels strongly about supporting. About two-thirds of the patients who walk through our doors have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and breast reconstruction is a major focus of our practice. Our team also includes breast cancer survivors, which makes the mission of Susan G. Komen a personal one, as well.

If you are participating in the Race for the Cure® or will be there to support a loved one, be sure to look for the Christine Fisher MD team at the finish line, as we will be handing out gift bags to all 500+ survivor participants at the survivors’ tent (called Hope Village this year). We look forward to seeing some familiar faces!

If you’re considering joining a team for the race, the Breast Cancer Resource Center’s team is still accepting participants.

Schedule of Events – Sunday, September 30

7:15 am – Opening ceremonies at the start line

7:30 am – Race start time for all walkers/runners

8:00 am – Race Village entertainment begins

After you race – Survivor participants can grab their gift bag from the Christine Fisher MD team at the finish line in Hope Village
