Austin Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery's goal is for every patient to recover well. The following are lists of useful items that can be purchased on Amazon ahead of surgery.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON ENSURE BEVERAGE: We recommend our patients drink a clear carbohydrate beverage, such as Ensure Clear (included on the lists below), the night before surgery and again in the morning two or more hours before surgery to reduce postoperative nausea and to shorten time in the recovery room. DRINKING ENSURE LESS THAN TWO HOURS BEFORE SURGERY CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY TO YOUR LUNGS. Please finish the beverage two hours before your surgery start time, or skip it if you missed this time window.
