What is Forever Young BBL?
BBL treatments use broadband light to address a multitude of skin conditions that may stem from sun damage and aging. Unlike many light and laser treatments, BBL targets the deeper layers of the skin where hyperpigmentation and other concerns originate. Forever Young BBL is a multi-step process that restores the skin to its natural tone and texture. This treatment is scientifically proven to alter gene expression to more resemble younger cellular behaviors.
Who is an Ideal Candidate for Treatment?
Because Forever Young BBL uses multiple wavelenghts of light, this treatment is ideal whether your interest is in prevention or correction. The powerful technology is suitable for most skin types and many conditions, including:

Forever Young BBL is appropriate for most people, with the exception of patients with severe melasma, those who are a Fitzpatrick Skin Type VI (very dark skin), and those who are pregnant. The Forever Young BBL Procedure
Your Forever Young BBL treatment begins with a thorough consultation in which you and your provider will discuss your concerns and goals. They will explain the treatment and how it works, as well as what you can expect. For your Forever Young BBL treatment, your provider will apply topical numbing cream to your skin and allow 30 minutes for it to take effect. Then, you will wear special goggles to protect your eyes and your provider will make multiple passes over the treatment area with a small, handheld device.
- The first pass addresses the appearance of your skin
- The second pass addresses small, visible blood vessels
- The third targets hyperpigmentation and other conditions
- The fourth and final pass warms the deep layers of your skin to stimulate overall rejuvenation
Recovery and Aftercare for Forever Young BBL
One of the advantages of the Forever Young BBL procedure is that there is little downtime. Your skin may be slightly red or flushed for a few hours, but you can cover this with makeup if necessary. You may also have some swelling for a couple of days after treatment. You will also be sensitive to ultraviolet light for several days. We suggest that you wear broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen every day and also limit your sun exposure for at least two weeks following treatment. This is a good habit to develop to sustain the rewarding cosmetic improvements achieved with BBL. A few days after your treatment, you may notice a darkening of pigmented lesions. In time, these will flake off to reveal smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin.
How Soon After the Procedure Will I See Results?
You may see results from your very first Forever Young BBL treatment after just a few weeks. However, results can vary due to genetics and the extent of damage that requires correction. It may be the long-term benefits of this treatment that are most remarkable. According to studies, such as one published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, this BBL treatment can alter the expression of the genes that are involved in cosmetic aging. Another study confirmed that ongoing Forever Young BBL treatments lead to patients looking approximately 11 years younger than their biological age. What these studies indicate is that BBL technology can powerfully affect the genes that regulate the aging of our skin.
To get the best results from Forever Young BBL, your provider will suggest a personalized treatment plan that often includes a series of treatments. After that initial series, you can maintain your skin with periodic touch-up treatments once or more each year.
