I can’t imagine taking this journey without Dr. Christine Fisher. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, I decided on a bilateral mastectomy and over a year and a half of chemo. It took two years of research to find the perfect surgeon with the knowledge and compassion she has. Residing in San Antonio, I found only one practice that somewhat met my criteria minus the compassion but were not providers with my insurance. Disappointed that they would not even see me as a cash-paying consultation, I continued my search outside of my city for the best, and that’s when I found her and her wonderful staff (who, by the way, are also breast cancer survivors). It didn’t matter that I had to travel to Austin for my appointments and reconstruction with her. She is an artist as well as being a phenomenal microsurgeon, and I am so happy with my results. The level of care has far exceeded any I have received from a medical practice. From the office staff to the nurses to Dr. Christine Fisher, I could not have been more well cared for.

I am so happy with my awesome experience with Dr. Fisher and her staff. I used a DIEP flap to fix my BAD implants. I can’t imagine where I would be at this point without her assistance in fixing my bad situation. As if going through cancer and losing my breast weren’t enough. She will make you feel like a new woman.

When I first walked into Dr. Christine Fisher’s office, I noticed the attention to detail, how the colors were soothing and coordinated, and I immediately felt a sense of peace … that I could trust my medical care to a professional who upholds such a standard of perfection and synergy in all that surrounds her and her patients. This feeling, this peace and first impression that she demands perfection has been confirmed, each and every time I am with Dr. Fisher and her (obviously hand-picked by her) staff! I say this is a credentialed and licensed healthcare professional in Austin!

Dr. Fisher performed a new surgery called a PAP flap with nipple-sparing mastectomy. The PAP Flap is based on the profunda artery perforator and utilizes the tissue of the posterior thigh and under the buttocks. The results were INCREDIBLE. She is not only an amazing surgeon but she has an amazing bedside manner and takes whatever time needed to discuss and look at every possible option that’s best for you. I am incredibly grateful for what she has done to make my body beautiful after my mastectomy. She truly cares about her patients and will do anything for them. If you are looking for a surgeon who is amazing and knows all of the most recent information on procedures in reconstruction along with her already extensive knowledge, Dr. Fisher is right for you. I’m so grateful for what she’s done for me and I definitely would recommend her.

I have a strong family history of reproductive cancers in my family and also tested BRCA 1 and 2 positive. After my third baby was born, I opted for a total hysterectomy and six months after that I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction. Dr. Fisher did the reconstruction of my breasts the same time I had the mastectomy, so I went in with breasts and woke up with breasts. She used my own tissue and fat from my stomach to produce natural, firm, soft, REAL breasts. They move with my body, don’t have hard spots, look beautiful and natural. I am so happy with the work that Dr. Fisher has done. I have recommended her highly to dozens of others needing work done. Dr. Fisher’s bedside manner is impeccable. You are not just a patient, you are her only priority while you’re with her. From my very first appointment until the process was complete, I never felt like I was an inconvenience or rushed for someone else to be seen. She takes her time to make sure you fully understand everything that is going on. You will not be disappointed when you go with Dr. Christine Fisher!

It is with great pleasure that I get to review Dr. Fisher and her staff, AGAIN! Being a three-time cosmetic surgery patient, some may think I have some sort of plastic surgery addiction, but that is not the case. Rather I, like many women, noticed parts of my body that I wanted to improve for myself and myself only, and Dr. Fisher did just that. She listened to my concerns and delivered the results that I asked for: to still look like myself, only ‘better.’ I can go on and on about how great of a surgeon she is, but that is just one part of the process. Dr. Fisher provided the same personalized experience she did for me four years ago when I first chose her as my surgeon, and this last time around we picked up right where we left off. Appointments were never rushed, and Dr. Fisher always made sure to check up on me emotionally as well, which as a mental-health nurse I highly value. How she can connect to the many clients she sees I will never know, but I can tell that it is one of many qualities that set her above the rest. I could not end this review without saying something about all the staff that I interacted with. I saw Dr. Fisher’s nurse practitioner, Crystal, for a post-op appointment, and she was just as compassionate as Dr. Fisher. She was attentive and listened to my concern about one of my incisions that turned out to be nothing other than me overreacting, but she was very reassuring and explained all options if I were to have a complication. Claire and Danielle were always friendly both on the phone and in person, and they always got back to my questions promptly. Julie was very welcoming during all my appointments, and I think it’s so cool that she is not only a breast cancer survivor but also a former patient of Dr. Fisher’s! Overall, I fully trust Dr. Fisher and her staff with my body, and if I ever feel the need to be a four-time patient, I will be running back to her office and her office only!

The only word I could come up with after leaving my first consultation with Dr. Fisher was ‘passionate.’ She made me feel comfortable and explained everything in a way I could fully understand. She even drew things out on a dry-erase board so I could visually see what my journey with her would be. I left knowing 100% she would be my reconstruction surgeon for my bilateral mastectomy. Now almost two weeks post op I am so glad I found her! She did amazing! Her team is equally as fabulous. I’ve dealt with Rebecca, Sandy, Claire, Julie, and others, and everyone is so welcoming. Being dealt the hand of cancer at the age of 34 is pretty crappy … but I’m beyond blessed to be guided on my journey by an amazing team that includes Dr. Fisher.

Dr. Fisher’s program is comprehensive and very supportive. Preparing for surgery included a list of supplements I needed to stop and a list of supplements, vitamins, and minerals I needed to take to build up my body for surgery. She and her staff are very kind and encouraging and upbeat. I am also very grateful for the results!

Dr. Fisher is an excellent physician. Not only is she excellent as a physician but also with her interaction with all her patients and staff. When I was referred to her by a friend and another patient of hers, I had medical issues concerning my breasts. My initial concern had begun when I found a lump in one of my breasts. I had already gone through several medical tests before I visited Dr. Fisher. Even though the tests had not indicated cancer, other medical/health problems with my breasts were indicated. Dr. Fisher and I discussed the option of surgery. She was concerned for me and she made me feel so comfortable with the decision to move forward with surgery. I had surgery on both breasts about five months ago. I have utmost respect and confidence in Dr. Fisher and her staff. They have made me feel so cared for, and they are all just so kind. From day one in her office at consult I felt as if I had made an entire new group of friends. I feel so incredibly blessed to have had Dr. Fisher and her entire group taking care of my medical needs.
